Arsenal today have shown their interest in Blackburn player Steven N`Zonzi and are thought to be leading the pack for his signature in the summer. Arsene Wenger is known to be a long time admirer of the Blackburn defensive midfielder and believes he would be a great asset to his current squad. Speculation also continues about the future of Cologne striker Lucas Podolski as it seems certain the talented German international is sure to leave the French club in the summer.
Elsewhere Aston Villa are believed to have opened contract talks with their defender Carlos Cuellar in the hope they can keep him their past the summer. There is also interest from Alex McLeish to keep loan signing Robbie Keane on their books for next season as the Irish striker has been more than impressive since his arrival at Villa Park.
Blackburn have finally completed the sale of defender Christopher Samba to the Russian side Anzhi Makhackala as the super rich Russian club have long been an admirer of the player. The fee for the sale is thought to be around the £12 million mark with stipulations which could increase the sale price to well over £15 million.

Manchester City has also been linked to the young Spanish goal keeper Joel who currently ply’s his trade with Athletico Madrid in La Liga. Mancini is thought to be an admirer of the young keeper and would welcome the chance to add him to their already phenomenal squad.
Tottenham Hotspur has again been linked with the Belgian international defender Jan Vertonghen who Harry Redknapp believes would be a great addition to their already excellent squad. The player’s current contract ends at the end of the season and there has been no sign of the player renewing his terms there which will boost the chances of Tottenham acquiring him.
